Ingredients:
- 8 cups (1.9 Liters) Water, filtered
- 6-8 Black Tea Bags (or 2-3 tablespoons loose leaf black tea)
- ¾ cup (150 grams) Granulated Sugar
- Ice, for serving
- Optional: Lemon wedges, mint sprigs, for garnish
Instructions:
- Bring the water to a rolling boil in a large saucepan.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add tea bags (or loose-leaf tea in infuser). Let steep for 15-30 minutes, depending on desired strength.
- Remove the tea bags (or infuser). If using loose-leaf tea without an infuser, strain the tea through a fine-mesh strainer into the heatproof pitcher.
- While the tea is still hot, add the sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Then, refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.
- Fill glasses with ice. Pour chilled iced tea over ice. Garnish with lemon wedges and/or mint sprigs, if desired.
