Ingredients:
- 20 oz (567g) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
- 1 (15.25 oz / 432g) box yellow cake mix (or white cake mix)
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup (about 50g) chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the undrained crushed pineapple into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pineapple. Make sure it covers all of the pineapple.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle nuts evenly over the cake mix and butter, if using.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (or with a few moist crumbs).
- Let cool slightly before serving.
