Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150g) fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) simple syrup
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) cold sparkling water or club soda
  • Pink food coloring (optional)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla mousse
  • Edible eyes (small candies or mini marshmallows)
  • Pink or white paper straws or cocktail picks

Instructions:

  1. Blend strawberries with simple syrup and lemon juice until smooth. Strain through a sieve for a silky texture, if desired.
  2. Divide the strawberry puree into two portions. Add a few drops of pink food coloring to one portion to create different pink shades.
  3. Fill the glass halfway with the lighter pink strawberry layer. Gently pour the darker pink layer on top using the back of a spoon to prevent mixing. Add sparkling water or soda for fizz.
  4. Create a kitty face on top with whipped cream or vanilla mousse. Decorate with edible eyes, candies for ears or whiskers, and insert a cute straw or pick.
