Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 8 oz shredded mozzarella
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 6 fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
- Bloom the Yeast: In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water, honey, and instant yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes foamy on top.
- Combine: Stir in the olive oil and salt. Gradually add the flour, stirring with a spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead Briefly: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for just 2-3 minutes until the dough is smooth.
- Divide: Split the dough into two equal balls.
- Roll Thin: Use a rolling pin to flatten each ball into an oval shape, roughly 1/4 inch thick.
- Dock the Dough: Use a fork to poke small holes across the surface of the dough to prevent large air bubbles.
- Preheat: Set your oven to 450°F (230°C).
