Ingredients:
- 1 (10.5 ounce/300g) package Ladyfingers (Savoiardi biscuits), store-bought
- 1/4 cup (60ml) Orange Juice, for soaking
- 1 (3.4 ounce/96g) package Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 3 cups (710ml) Whole Milk
- 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 pint (567g) Strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 pint (567g) Blueberries, washed and picked over
- 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar (optional, for macerating the strawberries)
- 2 cups (473ml) Heavy Cream, cold
- 1/4 cup (30g) Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Red and Blue Sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions:
- Lightly soak the ladyfingers in orange juice.
- Whisk together instant pudding mix and milk. Add vanilla extract. Whisk until thickened.
- Slice strawberries. Toss with sugar if desired. Wash and drain blueberries.
- In a chilled bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Layer ladyfingers at the bottom of the trifle bowl.
- Spread a layer of custard over the ladyfingers.
- Arrange a layer of sliced strawberries.
- Add another layer of ladyfingers, custard, and blueberries.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Sprinkle red and blue sprinkles over the whipped cream. Chill for at least 30 minutes (or longer for best flavor melding).
