Ingredients:

  • 1 (10.5 ounce/300g) package Ladyfingers (Savoiardi biscuits), store-bought
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Orange Juice, for soaking
  • 1 (3.4 ounce/96g) package Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
  • 3 cups (710ml) Whole Milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pint (567g) Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 pint (567g) Blueberries, washed and picked over
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar (optional, for macerating the strawberries)
  • 2 cups (473ml) Heavy Cream, cold
  • 1/4 cup (30g) Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Red and Blue Sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions:

  1. Lightly soak the ladyfingers in orange juice.
  2. Whisk together instant pudding mix and milk. Add vanilla extract. Whisk until thickened.
  3. Slice strawberries. Toss with sugar if desired. Wash and drain blueberries.
  4. In a chilled bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  5. Layer ladyfingers at the bottom of the trifle bowl.
  6. Spread a layer of custard over the ladyfingers.
  7. Arrange a layer of sliced strawberries.
  8. Add another layer of ladyfingers, custard, and blueberries.
  9. Top with whipped cream.
  10. Sprinkle red and blue sprinkles over the whipped cream. Chill for at least 30 minutes (or longer for best flavor melding).
