Ingredients:
- 24 slices Thinly sliced salami (about 4-5 oz / 115-140g)
- 8 oz (225g) Cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp Fresh chives (or green onions), finely chopped
- ½ tsp Garlic powder
- ¼ tsp Black pepper
- 2 tbsp Dill pickles, finely chopped (Optional)
- 2 tbsp Red bell pepper, finely chopped (Optional)
- 1 tsp Horseradish sauce (for a kick!)(Optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, mash the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the chopped chives (or green onions), garlic powder, and black pepper. If using, add the dill pickles, red bell pepper, and horseradish sauce.
- Taste the cream cheese mixture and adjust seasoning as needed. A pinch of salt might be nice!
- Lay out the salami slices on a clean surface.
- Spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each salami slice.
- Roll each salami slice tightly from one end to the other. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
- Wrap the assembled rolls tightly in plastic wrap.
- Place the wrapped rolls in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the rolls to firm up.
- Just before serving, use a sharp knife to slice each roll into bite-sized rounds. Salami cream cheese roll ups are ready to be served.
