  • 16 oz frozen shredded hashbrowns, thawed and patted dry
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the raw breakfast sausage, thawed hashbrowns, and shredded cheese. Stir in the beaten egg, flour, and seasonings. Mix until ingredients are evenly distributed and the mixture feels tacky.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a cookie scoop, portion the mixture into rounded mounds roughly 1.5 inches in diameter. Press down slightly on each mound to create a thick patty shape.
  3. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18-22 minutes until the edges are deep golden brown. Remove from the oven and let rest for 3 minutes to allow the proteins to set.
