Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Jack Daniel
  • s whiskey
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan
  2. Whisk in smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves completely.
  4. Bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat slightly and let sauce cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature before transferring to an airtight container.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
