- 1 cup (225g) mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) finely chopped dill pickles
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) finely chopped capers, drained well
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) finely chopped fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) granulated sugar (or honey)
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) freshly ground black pepper
- Pinch of sea salt (or to taste)
Instructions:
- Finely chop the dill pickles, capers, dill, and parsley.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, chopped pickles, capers, dill, parsley, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, sugar, pepper, and salt.
- Stir everything together until thoroughly combined.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning as needed. Add more lemon juice for tang, sugar for sweetness, or salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. This step really improves the flavour.
- Serve chilled with your favourite foods.
