Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150g) fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled
  • 1 medium banana, peeled
  • 1 cup (240ml) plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or non-fat, your choice)
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond, soy, or oat milk)
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste, optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 4-5 ice cubes (optional, for a thicker smoothie)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries. Peel the banana.
  2. Add the strawberries, banana, yogurt, milk, honey (if using), and vanilla extract (if using) to the blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. If using ice, add it now and blend until just combined. Be careful not to over-blend.
  4. Taste the smoothie and add more honey or maple syrup if needed. Add more milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately. Garnish with a strawberry slice or banana slice, if desired.
