Ingredients:
- 1 lb Fresh Strawberries (uniform size, stems removed)
- 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella Pearls or Ciliegine
- 1 large bunch Fresh Genovese Basil
- 1/4 cup Balsamic Glaze
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Flaky Sea Salt
- 1/2 tsp Freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Wash the strawberries and pat them completely dry with paper towels to prevent moisture release. Slice the green hulls off to create a flat base.
- Prepare the basil by taking large, vibrant leaves and folding them into an 'S' shape or fan to create volume and a hydrophobic barrier.
- Assemble the skewers by threading a mozzarella pearl first to act as a structural anchor, followed by the folded basil leaf, and topping with a whole or halved strawberry.
- Arrange the assembled skewers on a chilled serving platter.
- Just before serving, drizzle evenly with extra virgin olive oil and the thick balsamic glaze.
- Finish with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper for maximum flavor pop.
