Ingredients:

  • 6-8 Fresh Strawberries, hulled (approx. 100g / 3.5 oz)
  • 2 oz (60ml) White Rum (Bacardi works a treat)
  • 1 oz (30ml) Fresh Lime Juice (approx. 2 limes, adjust to taste)
  • 0.75 oz (22ml) Simple Syrup (equal parts water and sugar, heated and cooled) or Agave Nectar
  • 1 cup (approx. 120g) Ice Cubes (more or less depending on blender strength)
  • 1 Strawberry (sliced) for garnish, optional
  • Lime wedge for garnish, optional

Instructions:

  1. Hull and roughly chop the strawberries.
  2. In the blender, add the chopped strawberries, rum, lime juice, simple syrup (or agave), and ice.
  3. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and frosty. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of water or lime juice and blend again. If it's too thin, add a few more ice cubes.
  4. Taste the daiquiri and adjust the sweetness or tartness as needed. Add more simple syrup for sweetness or lime juice for tartness.
  5. Pour immediately into chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish with a sliced strawberry and/or a lime wedge. Cheers!
