Ingredients:
- 2 cups (475ml) Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
- 1/2 cup (120ml) Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1 cup (200g) Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) Whole Milk (or 2% milk)
- 1 teaspoon Orange Zest (finely grated)
- 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)
- A pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:
- Juice the oranges and lemons, making sure to remove any seeds or pulp.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, orange zest, vanilla extract (if using), and salt (if using) until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Gently whisk in the milk until everything is well combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer's instructions for freezing, or pour the chilled mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, breaking up ice crystals every hour.
