Ingredients:
- 3 ripe plantains (blackened skin is ideal), peeled and sliced into ½-inch thick rounds
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
- Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions:
- Peel the plantains and slice them into even rounds.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Arrange the plantain slices in a single layer in the skillet. Cook until golden brown and caramelized on one side.
- Flip the plantain slices and sprinkle with brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon (if using). Cook until golden brown and caramelized on the other side, and the sugar has melted and created a sauce.
- Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
