Ingredients:

  • 2 (14 oz) packages Cocktail Sausages (Little Smokies)
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Ranch Seasoning Mix
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Au Jus Gravy Mix
  • 1/2 cup diced Pepperoncini Peppers
  • 1/4 cup Pepperoncini brine/juice
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, cut into pats
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Lightly grease the interior of the slow cooker insert or line it with a slow cooker liner.
  2. Place both packages of Little Smokies evenly into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Sprinkle the entire packet of Ranch seasoning mix and the entire packet of Au Jus gravy mix evenly over the sausages.
  4. Scatter the diced pepperoncini peppers over the top, and pour the measured pepperoncini juice/brine directly over the seasonings.
  5. Arrange the 4 pats of butter strategically on top of the mixture. If using, sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top.
  6. Cover the slow cooker. Cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours. Stir gently halfway through cooking to ensure the seasonings dissolve into a cohesive sauce.
  7. Once cooked, allow the smokies to rest on the 'Keep Warm' setting for about 15 minutes before serving hot, using a slotted spoon or cocktail picks.
