Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60 ml) Gin (London Dry or a modern floral gin)
- 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
- ¾ oz (22.5 ml) Elderflower Liqueur (St. Germain or similar)
- ½ oz (15 ml) Crème de Mûre (Blackberry Liqueur)
- 4-5 Fresh Blackberries
- Ice cubes
- Optional: Blackberry or lemon slice for garnish
Instructions:
- In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the fresh blackberries to release their juices.
- Add the gin, lemon juice, and elderflower liqueur to the shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Close the shaker tightly and shake well for 15-20 seconds, until thoroughly chilled.
- Double strain (using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine-mesh sieve) into a rocks glass filled with ice.
- Gently drizzle the crème de mûre over the top of the drink, allowing it to sink slightly.
- Garnish with a fresh blackberry or a lemon slice, if desired.
