Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60 ml) White Rum
- 1 oz (30 ml) Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
- ¾ oz (22.5 ml) Simple Syrup
Instructions:
- Place your coupe or martini glass in the freezer or fill with ice water while you prepare the drink.
- If you don't have pre-made simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let cool completely before using.
- Combine the rum, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
- Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled. You should feel the shaker getting very cold.
- Remove the ice water (if used) or empty the ice from your chilled glass. Double strain (using a fine-mesh strainer if desired) the Daiquiri into the glass.
- Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge.
