Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60 ml) White Rum
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • ¾ oz (22.5 ml) Simple Syrup

Instructions:

  1. Place your coupe or martini glass in the freezer or fill with ice water while you prepare the drink.
  2. If you don't have pre-made simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let cool completely before using.
  3. Combine the rum, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  5. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled. You should feel the shaker getting very cold.
  6. Remove the ice water (if used) or empty the ice from your chilled glass. Double strain (using a fine-mesh strainer if desired) the Daiquiri into the glass.
  7. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge.
  8. Sip slowly and savour the perfect balance of flavours!
