Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) gin
- 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) simple syrup (1:1 sugar to water)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) prosecco or champagne
- Lemon twist or thin lemon wheel for garnish
Instructions:
- Combine equal parts water and sugar in a small pan, heat until dissolved; cool.
- In a cocktail shaker, measure and add gin, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup.
- Add ice to the shaker; shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until chilled.
- Strain the mixture into a chilled champagne flute or coupe glass.
- Carefully pour prosecco or champagne over the gin mixture, leaving some space.
- Add a lemon twist or wheel for a touch of elegance.
