Ingredients:

  • ¾ oz bourbon (e.g., Buffalo Trace, Bulleit Bourbon)
  • ¾ oz amaro (e.g., Nonino, Averna)
  • ¾ oz Aperol
  • ¾ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Lemon twist or wheel (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Gather all ingredients and equipment. Squeeze fresh lemon juice if not using pre-bottled juice.
  2. Using a jigger, measure ¾ oz of bourbon, amaro, Aperol, and lemon juice into the cocktail shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  4. Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until well chilled.
  5. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. Use a fine-mesh strainer for a silky finish if desired.
