Ingredients:

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter or vegetable oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter (or heat oil) in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Gently crack the egg into a small bowl.
  3. Carefully slide the egg into the heated skillet.
  4. Cook until the egg white is mostly set, but still slightly translucent around the yolk (approximately 2-3 minutes).
  5. Gently flip the egg using a spatula.
  6. Cook for another 30-60 seconds, depending on desired yolk consistency.
  7. Remove from heat, season with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.
