Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60 ml) Amaretto Liqueur (e.g., Disaronno, Lazzaroni)
- 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 oz (30 ml) Egg White (Optional, pasteurized recommended) or 1/2 oz (15ml) Aquafaba (Vegan)
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
- Optional: 2-3 dashes of Angostura Bitters
- Garnish: Lemon wedge or cherry
Instructions:
- Chill your coupe glass (or rocks glass) while you prepare the cocktail.
- Add amaretto, lemon juice, egg white (or aquafaba), simple syrup, and bitters (if using) to the cocktail shaker.
- Dry Shake: (Important if using egg white) Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously without ice for about 15-20 seconds.
- Wet Shake: Add ice to the shaker. Close tightly and shake vigorously again for another 15-20 seconds, until well chilled.
- Strain: Double strain the cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or slotted spoon into the chilled glass.
- Garnish: Garnish with a lemon wedge or cherry.
