Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Amaretto Liqueur (e.g., Disaronno, Lazzaroni)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Egg White (Optional, pasteurized recommended) or 1/2 oz (15ml) Aquafaba (Vegan)
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
  • Optional: 2-3 dashes of Angostura Bitters
  • Garnish: Lemon wedge or cherry

Instructions:

  1. Chill your coupe glass (or rocks glass) while you prepare the cocktail.
  2. Add amaretto, lemon juice, egg white (or aquafaba), simple syrup, and bitters (if using) to the cocktail shaker.
  3. Dry Shake: (Important if using egg white) Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously without ice for about 15-20 seconds.
  4. Wet Shake: Add ice to the shaker. Close tightly and shake vigorously again for another 15-20 seconds, until well chilled.
  5. Strain: Double strain the cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or slotted spoon into the chilled glass.
  6. Garnish: Garnish with a lemon wedge or cherry.
