Ingredients:
- 1/2 lime, cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or 1 tablespoon simple syrup)
- 2 ounces (60 ml) cachaça
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Place the lime wedges and sugar in the bottom of a rocks glass or cocktail shaker. Muddle firmly until the lime releases its juice and the sugar dissolves. Don’t over-muddle.
- Pour the cachaça over the muddled lime and sugar.
- Fill the glass or shaker with ice.
- If using a cocktail shaker, shake well until chilled. If not, stir vigorously in the glass.
- Pour (or strain if you used a shaker) into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge, if desired.
