Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (approx. 15 ml)
  • 2 ounces Cognac (60 ml)
  • ¾ ounce Cointreau (22 ml)
  • ¾ ounce Fresh Lemon Juice (22 ml)
  • Lemon twist, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Moisten the rim of the coupe or martini glass with a lemon wedge. Place the granulated sugar on a small plate. Gently rotate the rim of the glass in the sugar to coat it evenly.
  2. Place the glass in the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Add the cognac, Cointreau, and lemon juice to the cocktail shaker.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice.
  5. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is well-chilled.
  6. Strain the cocktail into the prepared coupe or martini glass.
  7. Garnish with a lemon twist.
