Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 ounces (75ml) Gin (London Dry Gin recommended)
- 1/2 ounce (15ml) Dry Vermouth (French, such as Noilly Prat)
- Ice cubes
- Garnish: Green olive (pitted) or Lemon twist
Instructions:
- Chill your Martini glass well in the freezer for at least 15 minutes.
- Fill the cocktail shaker with ice cubes. The colder, the better.
- Pour the gin and dry vermouth into the shaker.
- Stir well for about 20-30 seconds. If you must shake, do so very briefly (about 10 seconds) and gently.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled Martini glass.
- Garnish with a green olive on a cocktail pick or a lemon twist (express the oils of the peel over the drink before dropping it in).
