Ingredients:
- Fresh Mint: 10-12 leaves
- Granulated Sugar: 1 teaspoon (5g)
- Water: 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Bourbon: 2 ounces (60ml)
- Crushed Ice: Enough to fill the glass
- Mint Sprig: For garnish
Instructions:
- In the julep cup, gently muddle the mint leaves with the sugar and water until the mint is fragrant and slightly bruised. Don't over-muddle; you don't want bitter mint.
- Pour the bourbon into the cup.
- Fill the cup completely with crushed ice.
- Stir gently until the cup is frosted. Add more crushed ice if needed.
- Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
