Ingredients:
- 4 ounces (120ml) Ginger Ale (chilled), or Lemon-Lime Soda (chilled)
- 1 ounce (30ml) Grenadine Syrup
- 2-3 Maraschino Cherries, with stem
- Ice Cubes
Instructions:
- Fill the highball glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the chilled ginger ale (or lemon-lime soda) over the ice.
- Slowly pour the grenadine syrup into the glass. It will settle to the bottom, creating the signature red layer.
- If desired, gently stir the drink to combine the grenadine and soda for a more uniform colour. Be careful not to over-stir.
- Garnish with maraschino cherries. Place them on a cocktail pick or simply drop them into the glass.
