Ingredients:

  • 1 bagel (Everything, plain, or poppy seed)
  • 2 oz (55g) smoked salmon, thinly sliced
  • 3 oz (85g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) finely chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: Red onion slices, capers, tomato slices, cucumber slices

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dill, lemon juice, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Slice the bagel in half horizontally. Toast to your desired level of doneness.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over both halves of the toasted bagel.
  4. Arrange the smoked salmon slices attractively on top of the cream cheese on one or both halves of the bagel.
  5. Add any desired toppings, such as red onion slices, capers, tomato slices, and cucumber slices.
  6. Serve your bagel smoked salmon immediately and enjoy!
