Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) instant coffee granules
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) hot water
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar (or sweetener of choice), adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy), or more to taste
  • Ice cubes, enough to fill your glass

Instructions:

  1. Combine instant coffee and sugar in a mug. Add hot water and stir until completely dissolved.
  2. Let the coffee mixture cool slightly. This prevents the ice from melting too quickly. Pop it in the freezer for a few minutes if you're in a real hurry.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour the cooled coffee mixture over the ice.
  5. Top with milk, adjusting the amount to your preferred strength and creaminess.
  6. Stir well to combine.
