Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60ml) Aged or Dark Jamaican Rum
  • 1 oz (30ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • ¾ oz (22.5ml) Orange Curaçao
  • ½ oz (15ml) Orgeat Syrup
  • ¼ oz (7.5ml) Simple Syrup (optional)
  • Garnish: Lime wedge
  • Garnish: mint sprig
  • Garnish: spent lime shell (optional)
  • Ice (cubed and crushed)

Instructions:

  1. Fill a rocks glass or tiki mug with crushed ice.
  2. If using a lime shell, gently muddle it in the bottom of your shaker for extra lime oil.
  3. Add the rum, lime juice, orange curaçao, orgeat syrup, and simple syrup (if using) to a cocktail shaker filled with cubed ice.
  4. Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled.
  5. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over the crushed ice.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge, a mint sprig, and the spent lime shell (if used).
