Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika (28g)
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt (36g)
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic (14g)
- 1 tablespoon onion powder (14g)
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper (7g)
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar (packed) (4g)
- 1 teaspoon dried mustard powder (2g)
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a kick) (1g)
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme (1g)
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano (1g)
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, add the smoked paprika, kosher salt, granulated garlic, onion powder, black pepper, brown sugar, mustard powder, cayenne pepper (if using), thyme, and oregano.
- Whisk all the ingredients together until well combined and there are no clumps.
- Give the seasoning a taste. Adjust the amounts of cayenne pepper (for heat) or brown sugar (for sweetness) according to your preference.
- Transfer the burger seasoning to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
- Generously season your burger patties before cooking. For best results, mix the seasoning into the ground meat before forming the patties, or sprinkle liberally on both sides before grilling or pan-frying.
