Ingredients:
- 4 oz (113g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 4 tbsp (57g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 2-4 tablespoons (30-60ml) whole milk or heavy cream
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, beating on low speed at first, then increase to medium until well combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the milk or cream one tablespoon at a time, beating until the icing reaches your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust with a pinch of salt if needed.
- Spread the icing generously over your warm cinnamon buns.
