Ingredients:

  • 4 oz (113g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tbsp (57g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 2-4 tablespoons (30-60ml) whole milk or heavy cream
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, beating on low speed at first, then increase to medium until well combined.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add the milk or cream one tablespoon at a time, beating until the icing reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust with a pinch of salt if needed.
  6. Spread the icing generously over your warm cinnamon buns.
