Ingredients:

  • 1 bagel (plain, everything, or your favorite)
  • 2 ounces lox (smoked salmon)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon capers, drained
  • Optional: Fresh dill sprigs, tomato slices, cucumber slices, lemon wedges, everything bagel seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Slice the bagel horizontally in half.
  2. Toast the bagel halves to your desired level of crispness.
  3. Evenly spread cream cheese on both halves of the toasted bagel.
  4. Arrange the lox slices on top of the cream cheese on one bagel half.
  5. Sprinkle the red onion and capers over the lox.
  6. Top with optional dill, tomato, or cucumber. Gently place the other bagel half on top and serve immediately with a lemon wedge.
