Ingredients:
- 1 bagel (plain, everything, or your favorite)
- 2 ounces lox (smoked salmon)
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon capers, drained
- Optional: Fresh dill sprigs, tomato slices, cucumber slices, lemon wedges, everything bagel seasoning
Instructions:
- Slice the bagel horizontally in half.
- Toast the bagel halves to your desired level of crispness.
- Evenly spread cream cheese on both halves of the toasted bagel.
- Arrange the lox slices on top of the cream cheese on one bagel half.
- Sprinkle the red onion and capers over the lox.
- Top with optional dill, tomato, or cucumber. Gently place the other bagel half on top and serve immediately with a lemon wedge.
