Ingredients:
- 6 cups frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries), slightly thawed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup whole milk
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the thawed mixed berries, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Stir until the berries are evenly coated.
- Pour the berry mixture into the prepared 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it in an even layer.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the berry filling, covering the entire surface. Try to avoid clumps.
- Slowly and evenly drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix. Make sure all of the cake mix gets dampened by the butter.
- Pour milk over the mixture.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berry filling is bubbling.
- Let the dump cake cool slightly before serving. The filling will thicken as it cools.
