Ingredients:
- 1 cup (approx. 200g) cubed ripe papaya, peeled and seeded
- ½ medium ripe banana, sliced
- ½ cup (120ml) orange juice, freshly squeezed or good-quality store-bought
- ¼ cup (60ml) plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 2-3 ice cubes (optional)
- Pinch of ground turmeric (optional)
Instructions:
- Peel and cube the papaya. Slice the banana. Juice the orange (if using fresh).
- Add the papaya, banana, orange juice, yogurt, ginger, turmeric (if using), and sweetener (if using) to the blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. Add ice cubes, one at a time, if a thicker smoothie is desired. Blend until ice is crushed.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness as needed (with honey or maple syrup). Add more orange juice if the smoothie is too thick.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy! Garnish with a slice of papaya or a sprinkle of ginger if desired.
