Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 loaf (about 1 pound/450g) Italian or French bread, baguette, or sourdough
  • 1 cup (113g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup (28g) grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
  2. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both cut sides of the bread.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the garlic butter.
  5. Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (if using). Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown and the bread is heated through and lightly toasted.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing into individual portions. Serve immediately.
