Ingredients:
- 1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 loaf (about 1 pound/450g) Italian or French bread, baguette, or sourdough
- 1 cup (113g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (28g) grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
- Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the garlic butter.
- Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (if using). Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown and the bread is heated through and lightly toasted.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing into individual portions. Serve immediately.
