Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (60ml) strongly brewed coffee (Cuban coffee preferred)
- 1 teaspoon (5g) of granulated sugar, or to taste (optional)
- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
Instructions:
- Prepare a strong cup of coffee using your preferred method.
- Warm the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Don't let it boil! Or microwave for 1-2 minutes.
- If desired, froth the warm milk using a milk frother or immersion blender.
- Pour the brewed coffee into your mug. Add sugar (if using) and stir to dissolve.
- Gently pour the warmed milk into the mug. Aim for a ratio of roughly 1 part coffee to 4 parts milk, adjusting to your taste. Now you have cafe con leche.
- Serve Immediately. Enjoy while it's hot!
