Ingredients:
- 4 cups (950 ml) strong brewed coffee, hot
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons (25g) powdered gelatin
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) cold water
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, whipped or plain (optional)
- Sweetened condensed milk (to taste) (optional)
- Coffee ice cream (optional)
Instructions:
- Sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until softened (bloomed).
- In the saucepan, heat the hot brewed coffee over medium heat. Add the sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Ensure no granules remain.
- Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot coffee mixture. Whisk until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Make sure there are no lumps.
- Pour the coffee mixture evenly into your chosen serving dishes.
- Cover the dishes with plastic wrap (avoiding direct contact with the jelly) and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until completely set.
- Serve the coffee jelly chilled, with whipped cream, sweetened condensed milk, or coffee ice cream, if desired.
