Ingredients:

  • 4 cups (950 ml) strong brewed coffee, hot
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons (25g) powdered gelatin
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cold water
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, whipped or plain (optional)
  • Sweetened condensed milk (to taste) (optional)
  • Coffee ice cream (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until softened (bloomed).
  2. In the saucepan, heat the hot brewed coffee over medium heat. Add the sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Ensure no granules remain.
  3. Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot coffee mixture. Whisk until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Make sure there are no lumps.
  4. Pour the coffee mixture evenly into your chosen serving dishes.
  5. Cover the dishes with plastic wrap (avoiding direct contact with the jelly) and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until completely set.
  6. Serve the coffee jelly chilled, with whipped cream, sweetened condensed milk, or coffee ice cream, if desired.
