Ingredients:

  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, cored and roughly chopped (approx. 200g / 7 oz)
  • 1 cup packed fresh spinach (approx. 30g / 1 oz)
  • ½ cup packed fresh kale, stems removed (approx. 15g / 0.5 oz)
  • ½ medium lemon, peeled (leaving white pith) (approx. 50g / 1.75 oz)
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled (approx. 5g / 0.2 oz)
  • ½ medium cucumber, roughly chopped (approx. 100g / 3.5 oz)
  • Optional: a sprig of fresh mint (for garnish and extra flavour boost)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and chop all fruits and vegetables into pieces that will fit into your juicer's feed tube.
  2. Starting with the leafy greens, feed the ingredients through the juicer, alternating between fruits and vegetables.
  3. If desired, strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any pulp.
  4. Pour the juice into a glass and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint (if using). Enjoy immediately for maximum nutritional benefits.
