Ingredients:
- 1 large Granny Smith apple, cored and roughly chopped (approx. 200g / 7 oz)
- 1 cup packed fresh spinach (approx. 30g / 1 oz)
- ½ cup packed fresh kale, stems removed (approx. 15g / 0.5 oz)
- ½ medium lemon, peeled (leaving white pith) (approx. 50g / 1.75 oz)
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled (approx. 5g / 0.2 oz)
- ½ medium cucumber, roughly chopped (approx. 100g / 3.5 oz)
- Optional: a sprig of fresh mint (for garnish and extra flavour boost)
Instructions:
- Wash and chop all fruits and vegetables into pieces that will fit into your juicer's feed tube.
- Starting with the leafy greens, feed the ingredients through the juicer, alternating between fruits and vegetables.
- If desired, strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any pulp.
- Pour the juice into a glass and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint (if using). Enjoy immediately for maximum nutritional benefits.
