Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (40g) instant oats
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain yogurt (Greek yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup (or honey, agave)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup (30g) fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 2 tablespoons (15g) chopped nuts or seeds (almonds, walnuts, chia seeds)

Instructions:

  1. In a mason jar or bowl, combine instant oats, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir well.
  2. If desired, layer half of the oat mixture at the bottom of the jar.
  3. Add half of the fresh berries on top of the oat mixture.
  4. If desired, add the remaining oat mixture, followed by the rest of the berries.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped nuts or seeds over the top.
  6. Seal the jar or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
  7. Give it a good stir and dig in!
