Ingredients:
- 4 cups (600g) cubed, seeded watermelon
- 1/2 cup (120ml) water or coconut water
- Juice of 1 lime (approximately 2 tablespoons, 30ml)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup (75g) ice cubes (optional, for a thicker smoothie)
- 1/4 cup (30g) chopped mint or basil (optional)
- 1/4 inch (0.5cm) piece of ginger (peeled, optional)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- Chop the watermelon into cubes, removing any seeds.
- Place the watermelon, water (or coconut water), lime juice, and honey/maple syrup (if using) into the blender. Add any optional additions now.
- Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy.
- Add ice cubes and blend again until the desired consistency is reached (optional).
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Garnish with a sprig of mint or a lime wedge, if desired.
