Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh lime juice (about 8 limes or 240 ml)
- 2 cups granulated sugar (400 g)
- 2 cups water (480 ml)
- 1-2 cups of ice (optional for serving)
Instructions:
- Cut limes in half and use a juicer or reamer to extract juice. Strain juice to remove seeds and pulp if desired.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves completely (about 3-5 minutes).
- Remove syrup from heat and stir in lime juice. Add remaining 1 cup of water to the mixture.
- Pour limeade concentrate into an airtight container. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.
- Scrape frozen concentrate with a fork to create slushy ice. Mix with water or soda to desired taste, and serve over ice.
