Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) Mexican Crema or Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) Fresh Cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chili Powder (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Mexican Crema or Sour Cream, lime juice, cilantro, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and chili powder (if using).
  2. Whisk all the ingredients together until well combined and smooth.
  3. Taste the lime crema and adjust seasoning as needed. Add more lime juice for extra tang, salt and pepper to taste, or chili powder for more heat.
  4. For best flavour, cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld. This step isn't essential, but it does enhance the taste.
  5. Serve the Lime Crema as a topping for your favourite dishes.
