Ingredients:
- 250ml (1 cup) freshly boiled water
- 1 green tea bag (high-quality, like sencha or dragon well)
- 1 slice (approx. 1/4 inch thick) fresh ginger root, peeled
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 lemon slice, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Bring fresh water to a boil in a kettle.
- Place the green tea bag and ginger slice in your mug. Pour the boiling water over the tea bag and ginger.
- Let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
- Remove the tea bag, gently squeezing out any excess liquid. Discard the tea bag.
- Stir in the fresh lemon juice.
- If desired, add honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar to taste. Stir well to dissolve.
- Garnish with a lemon slice, if desired.
