Ingredients:
- 4 ounces (113g) fresh ginger root, peeled and roughly chopped
- 4 lemons, juiced (about 1 cup / 240ml juice)
- 1/2 cup (120ml) water
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for extra kick)
Instructions:
- Combine ginger, lemon juice, and water in a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth.
- Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve (or cheesecloth-lined strainer) into a bowl or pitcher. Press down on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp.
- If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup and cayenne pepper to taste.
- Transfer the shot mixture to airtight containers and chill for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld.
