Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (130g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (100g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease the baking pan or line it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  7. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  10. Allow brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy!
