Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (approx. 6 oz (170g) each)
  • 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 1 tbsp (4g) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced into rounds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut four large squares of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  2. Place one salmon fillet in the center of each foil square.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create the glaze.
  4. Drizzle the garlic butter mixture evenly over each fillet. Top each piece of fish with 2 lemon slices and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
  5. Fold the sides of the foil up and pinch them tightly at the top to create a completely sealed packet.
  6. Place the packets on a baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 135°F to 140°F (57°C to 60°C).
  7. Let the packets rest, sealed, for 3 minutes to allow the residual heat to bring the salmon to the recommended 145°F (63°C).
