Ingredients:
- 2 gallons water
- 1 (3 ounce) package crab boil seasoning (such as Zatarain's)
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 large onion, quartered
- 2 lemons, halved
- 5 pounds small red potatoes
- 1 pound smoked sausage, such as Andouille, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 8 ears corn, shucked and halved
- 4 pounds unpeeled large shrimp (21-25 count)
Instructions:
- Combine water, crab boil, Old Bay, onion, and lemons in a large stockpot. Bring to a rolling boil.
- Add potatoes and cook until almost tender, about 15 minutes.
- Add sausage and corn; cook for 5 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes. Don't overcook the shrimp!
- Drain the frogmore stew, reserving some broth if desired. Spread onto a large serving platter or a newspaper-covered table for a communal feast.
